It is tradition to draw Tulsi "maadam " rangoli for Tulsi Pooja apart from auspicious rangoli like
Aishwarya patra rangoli and Lakshmi Hridaya rangoli
The images show the steps. First place bullets , the number of rows and columns will be based on the size of the Vrindavan we need.
Using a tool like cotton bud or matchstick draw floral patterns as shown a simple without chukki rangoli

Preparation of amla aarti
1. Take a clean plate or draw a rangoli with honey, cotton buds, and rava.
2. Place five amla fruits
3. Place cotton wicks ( hoo batti )
4. Apply ghee on the wicks
5. Perform aarti

For demonstration I have used a single colour, we can use a different or more colours to generate patterns. However, we should ensure that the colours used should match the green leaves of Tulasi plant that we draw.
Further we can add lamps patterns if we have sufficient time. There is always scope for improvisation through imagination.
The image below shows how I performed Tulsi Pooja at home. My husband performs Saligram Pooja for this festival. The offering also is shown. I usually perform where Tulsi plant is placed in our home ( I perform Puja daily to the Her singing songs in Her praise.
Due to lack of space, I paced Vishnu before Tulasi Mata. I was pleasantly surprised when a viewer asked why it was so, since the idol is supposed to placed beside Her. I explained that it was due to lack of space. She explained in detail how the Puja is performed in Maharashtra. I could visualise it. It was divine.
