30+ rangoli kolam simple designs  Though I have drawn all the designs myself personally I am thankful to my family for the inputs, information and help in drafting all the posts so far.  I have used the terms kolam  rangoli quite freely in all the posts. Probably there would have been differences based on classical (!) explanations in the past but today kolams can also be colourful like rangolis both in the free hand and dots type  I find that even the terms rangoli kolam and kolam rangoli are used at  present.     How to make the poola  jada at home , a simple idea through images   Floral decorations can be done in innumerable ways and along with rangoli form an art form that is creative in nature.   Alankaram  is an important art.   Traditionally decoration of the braid with flowers and hence floral decorations have been given  importance particularly for weddings.       The following images show how a simple poo jadi is made.    Usually we use three flowers of different colours choosing at least two fragrant varieties   As shown in the first image, jasmine flowers are  Not  tied following the traditional method of stringing  .  They are tied on one side only so that all the stalks are on one side .  The method followed for stringing the flowers is the same as that we follow for tying flowers on both sides of a string,  only in this case all flowers will be one one side.  ...

Material required Cardboard, fresh flowers Canvas , kundan stones and trinkets ( to make the jewellery ) needle and thread Glue What I have made is for Varalakshmi Pooja 2018   This idea can also be used for   a Simple poola jadalu for wedding | seemantham | engagement The advantage is that it is very light because we use dainty flowers and cardboard Take dainty flowers like jasmine and tie them the traditional way but one one side only Tie both ends of the string to get a circular shaped flower decoration Cut the excess thread Fold a card board as shown in the image below Tie the flowers to the cardboard Continue tying as shown in the picture below with floral decorations of decreasing diameter For each flower complete by tying a knot at the back Cut the excess cardboard to match the outer shape of the flowers These simple jewellery can be made using circular canvas .  Kundan ...

Yellow rose decoration using petals - we need yellow roses and craft thread. I have used golden colour to match with the colour of the flowers. Remove the petals from the flowers gently.  Take four or five petals such that the outermost is the biggest. Roll the petals as shown in the image Tie a knot  around the petals as shown in the next two pics .  Bring the thread to the left side bottom as shown in the image below. Using the fingers form a loop and insert the petals in the loop and pull the string to make the knot Take the next set of four or five petals Place them next to the first set of petals Bring the string to the left between the first and second set Again form a loop with string and tie both sets of petals together.  i.e the first and second.
