Easy rangoli designs - beginners

30+ rangoli kolam simple designs  Though I have drawn all the designs myself personally I am thankful to my family for the inputs, information and help in drafting all the posts so far.  I have used the terms kolam  rangoli quite freely in all the posts. Probably there would have been differences based on classical (!) explanations in the past but today kolams can also be colourful like rangolis both in the free hand and dots type  I find that even the terms rangoli kolam and kolam rangoli are used at  present. The only area where I think kolam are different are in sikku kolam and arisi maavu kolam. Both are beautiful, challenging and can be intricate. Rangoli is muggulu in Telugu and so this post will be useful for those in search of small and simple muggulu for beginners.  This post   may have answers  kutty rangoli /kolam designs The rangoli in the image below is one of the basic designs that can be used for learning.   Form a star w...

Nithya Devara mane rangoli designs easy

The important aspect of the nithya Devara mane shared in this post is that they all have been created by me very recently.

These examples have been given for reference.  For Pooja room it is preferable to add geru or ochre border and also fill the white rangoli with it.

Care should be taken to ensure that it does not smudge or obfuscate the main kolam.

Rangoli tips to draw the first example is - draw straight lines intersecting in the form of a plus sign.

Then add floral petals on all four sides.  Add more straight lines from the centre and create more petals taking care to ensure that symmetry is maintained.

After completion, motifs and dots may be used to amplify the beauty to get an aesthetically pleasing pattern.

There are many more rangoli designs for Devara mane in this simple rangoli website.

Please visit both the posts referred to above for easy step by step pictures for learning these two Pooja room muggulu designs.

The next Pooja ghar rangoli was also made for Navarathri rangoli ideas.  After forming the flower at the centre draw a circle to connect all the tips of the petals.  Then draw deepa or lamp patters as shown all around decorating them with dots.  The gaps are also filled with simple and small diya rangolis.

Devaramane rangoli simple
The devaramane rangoli shown below was created by me recently for Facebook and Instagram during Navratri.  I had shared nine different rangoli designs for Pooja room for Navaratri and of course one for Vijayadasami rangoli too. This simple and beautiful rangoli in white was created spontaneously.  I have added small and cute deepa patterns and hence it may be suitable for Diwali Lakshmi Pooja also.
