30+ rangoli kolam simple designs  Though I have drawn all the designs myself personally I am thankful to my family for the inputs, information and help in drafting all the posts so far.  I have used the terms kolam  rangoli quite freely in all the posts. Probably there would have been differences based on classical (!) explanations in the past but today kolams can also be colourful like rangolis both in the free hand and dots type  I find that even the terms rangoli kolam and kolam rangoli are used at  present. The only area where I think kolam are different are in sikku kolam and arisi maavu kolam. Both are beautiful, challenging and can be intricate. 12 dots kolam colors pulli

  The rangoli image below shows how we can use spirals to create small and easy designs .   The image below shows how we can use different motifs to get beautiful rangolis for Navaratri.    I am sharing five of them.  All are unique in their own way.   This is yet another set of chukki less rangoli designs that qualify for all the adjectives like, small, simple and easy.   If you observe all the five examples given here in the form of pictures you will get ideas for starting the central pattern of a non chukki rangoli.   You will also get information on what motifs to add above or around the central design so that you can make and note and try to create designs on your own  with these templates and with your imagination.   You may also bookmark this post if you would like to try the same simple without chukki rangoli designs either for daily purpose or for Dusshera festival as the title suggests.   1) Dasar...
