Simple nelivu kolam for beginners

This is a simple but awesome kolam with 7 to 1 pulli.  The pics should be helpful for learners to try this kolam.  We can use it for our vasal kolangal or as part of our Margazhi festival decoration.
Though it is small rangoli many steps have been added because we should not underestimate this muggu based on size.  If you are looking for 7 pulli kambi kolam , 7 dots sikku kolam or chukki rangoli 7 to1 (though this is not a classical chukki design because we go round the dots )

Dot pattern is 7 to 1

Also called melikala muggulu or gantina rangoli these types are popular in South India.  We invariably find many houses decorated with sikku kolam

For those who are visiting my blog for the first time, through this post - some simple tips to create beautiful traditional kolam -
take minimum quantity of kola podi to place the dots to get small dots
take minimum qunatity of kolam powder to create thin lines
because traditional kolam is all about attractively small and dainty designs.  To achieve this we should use as little kola maavu as possible and the dot grid should be closely packed too.
