Easy rangoli designs - beginners

30+ rangoli kolam simple designs  Though I have drawn all the designs myself personally I am thankful to my family for the inputs, information and help in drafting all the posts so far.  I have used the terms kolam  rangoli quite freely in all the posts. Probably there would have been differences based on classical (!) explanations in the past but today kolams can also be colourful like rangolis both in the free hand and dots type  I find that even the terms rangoli kolam and kolam rangoli are used at  present. A compact dot grid will result in a compact rangoli.  We can decide the space among the dots based on the space available and the occasion too.  For example, if we want to draw it inside the Pooja mandir or on a manai (plank) we can go far a compact dot pattern.

I have jumped from the second to third picture, maybe one or two intermediate steps through images should make it clear. Cramping a post with lots of images makes a post less mobile friendly, I think.

Nowadays mobile viewers form more than 90 percent of the persons landing on my blog.  So, I have shared only two steps and hope they are sufficient.

If few of you still want a video I can share a link.  I have to search on my Pages on Instagram or Facebook for the video link.

The basic design is common, and the extensions have been added by me.  We can change the extensions outside and decorations inside trying to keep them relevant to the kolam so that the overall effect appears to be acceptable.
