 It is said that Goddess Parvathi requested Lord Shiva to tell Her a Vratha which when performed by women will ensure all good things and blessings. Varalakshmi Vratham or Varamahalakshmi Pooja will be celebrated on August 12, 2016.  This is one of the most important festivals and requires elaborate preparation and celebrations resulting in joy and mental satisfaction.
