Simple rangoli kolam designs new model

Image
First image The rangoli  starts with a plus and expands with semi-circular patterns and petal like designs .  It has a simple two line border filed with blue rangoli powder on which red dots are added.  All the four edges have spiral patterns.   The rangoli is filled with different colours yellow, green and blue. The remaining space that is black can also be filled with some colour of our choice,  only thing it is to be done carefully.  The rangoli with colours filled is available in Dusshera rangoli Second image - This kolam / rangoli  also uses floral petals as motifs.  The basic kolam is drawn with spiral patterns as shown.  The outermost patterns are based on floral petals and are used to decorate the kolam.  Third image - In the rangoli  the central design is drawn by drawing intersecting lines and forming the parallelogram like patterns.  The edge of each one is expanded with floral designs with two petals...

Sankranthi rangoli without dots simple

Image
The first kolam is floral design with with pink and blue flowers decorated with a white and green border.   This floral motif is regularly used in rangolis.    If you observe closely, the design formed is  flowers inside a flower.   A very different free hand kolam. The second rangoli - I have drawn only 6 flowers around the 8 petal flower at the centre. because drawing eight flowers radially, one for each petal may make the design congested and cramped or may result very small flowers on the periphery.  I am only thinking aloud,  hope you understood. No place for veins of the leaves :) The third rangoli one more design with just petals , using different colours because it is for the muggulu season i.e Dhanrumasa The fourth rangoli - we draw  and colour as in the image or we can fill colours in the background , if we have more time at our disposal - on a weekday during Dhanur masam we can draw without colours probably on Saturday or S...

Small white rangoli kolam designs

Image
These are basic designs that can be drawn at the entrance for our vasal kolangal hence images showing intermediate steps are not shown  Seven  rangoli ideas are shown here that can be used for 7 days  in 30 days i.e simple kolam for a month. One of the most common kolam in the pic below.  The basic star pattern with petals from all edges.  The 2 lines are drawn separately. How to learn kolam   We can learn this art by referring to books or websites like Rangolisansdots.  Drawing on a note book is easier than drawing with kola podi.  Kolam making the traditional way demands coordination among the fingers and thumb.  Filling the inner spaces with patterns of our choice and also on the outside as demonstrated in the images below The pics show one of the methods of creating a beautiful kolam even with a small design.  1) Small rangoli kolam easy  2) small star kolam   If you would like to try double lines simultaneously...

Aadi month kolam designs small rangoli pics

Image
This is a collection of simple rangoli designs for Aadi masam.   It usually falls between July 15 and August 15.  Auspicious occasions like housewarming, weddings are deferred to Tamil month of Aavani.   So we have discount sales offered by many shops  during this period.  However this month is very special for Devi Karumari Amman.  Sunday and Friday ( Gnayiru and Velli ) are most auspicious for the Goddess during this month as also Aadi Pooram ( Pooram is Poorva Phalguni Star ) .   It is in the afternoons that I find time to create kolam , listening to old Tamil songs ( Ilayaraja, MS Viswanathan ) ,  there are several notebooks full of kolangal.   All do not reach my social media accounts like Blogger, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.  Only some of them that I think are good enough are shared.  Later I review the note books again and share a few more from my collection. Even when I share common kolams ,  part...
