It can be eaten raw also as we do in most homes.  It is offered as Naivedyam for the festivals that are celebrated in January, February viz Sankranthi and Rathasapthami;   Let us see how to prepare a simple snack using this fruit. Wash the fruits and tear the skin to check for any worms that may be inside. We also need chopped ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves and jaggery. Add the ingredients except jaggery to a mixer add a little water and wet grind. Butter murukku pieces - savory recipe for Diwali or evening snacks What we need is rice flour that is readily available in the stores or rice flour that is home made by soaking rice in water, spreading it on a clean cloth, drying it in shade and then dry grinding it. Then white sesame seeds, asafoetida, green chillies wet ground in a mixer, butter and salt Take three measures of rice flour, 3/4 to 1 teaspoon butter is added. All other ingredients are added one by one.   Green chillies paste and salt can be varied according to our taste. Arisi vadam rice vadagam recipe

        Easy arisi vadam or ilai vadam This one of the simplest vadam and the quick and easy vadam.   Take one tumbler raw rice and soak in water for two to three hours.  For one tumbler rice add one teaspoon sago or javvarisi and soak both together. Wet grind in a mixer at night  Add salt after grinding.  The next day we can make the vadam after we ferment it for six to seven hours. So either we grind at night or if we grind in the morning, we can make the vadam in the evening. After 6 to 7 hours add ground green chili paste (the quantity will depend upon how hot we want the dish to be . Add asafoetida and one teaspoon white sesame seeds. Mix all the ingredients well so that we get a well-mixed batter.
